Today’s a busy day…

DSL guy + biz insurace folks + paint estimate + window etching estimate + security estimate + furniture drop-off.

Matter of fact, based on the # of things I need to get to today, I think I’ll buy a coffee maker for the office like I have at home.  I’ve had my friend Tassi  for about a year now, and believe me, she makes the.best Hot Chocolate. Her coffee’s alright. I think I’m just used to the amount of SUGAR + CARBS Starbucks puts in their coffee.

Alright…let me go find my banana and get to work.

I haven’t been at a point where I wasn’t able to sleep for a long time.

Maybe it was the Starbucks hot chocolate that I had around 9pm. But geez, what’d they put in it? crack?

Whenever I’m awake like this with ideas and projects running through my head, I call it “my will to succeed”.

I know that in about 4 hours we’ll be waking up to head to church…only, I’ll probably still be awake. And if I fall asleep in church, that’s not gonna be the hawtness.  But I can’t for the life of me, figure out a way to turn my thoughts off.

It’s like a whole bunch of numbers and hex colors all in one. Jesus Mother Mary on the cross.

At least I was able to catch up on some work and take care of some work that I would be doing if I wasnt going to be in the office all next week getting things ready for walk-ins the following week.

Okay…gonna go try to lay down and catch an hour or two before Church. Besides…the sun is coming up…good Lord…

A few years ago, a friend of mine *my boss at the time* hipped me to this book:  The Automatic Millionaire

The Automatic Millionaire is basically a “How-To” on saving funds that you would otherwise *throw away* to compound interest and save for your future.

As soon as I got through the first chapter, I was pretty much sold. lol. I had an ING Direct account already, but this book inspired me to start automatically saving under the latte factor. The latte factor pretty much gives you a “starting point” as to how you can save. For example, if you’re an avid Starbucks drinker who needs that daily cup of crack, and maybe a lemon loaf…or a blueberry muffin *if ya nasty*…you’re “throwing away” about $5.00 – $7.00 a day on your latte. This money can otherwise be put into a high interest savings account and be put to work for YOU!

Okay, so my issue *at the time* was…shopbop.com.  Every time a new line was launched, I was itching to get my fingers on a cute shirt, or pair of pants. This was my latte factor. Instead of spending the money on the shirt, I’d simply put the money that I would have spent… into my ING Savings account.

Well…that kind of didn’t last long, because I simply stopped going to shopbop.com *unless there was something I wanted to look especially cute for*.  So, every Friday, I’ve scheduled ING Direct to pull about $30.00 USD out of my bank account into savings. And now that I’m used to it just not being there, I don’t even realize that it’s gone.

Same thing with my 401k. When I was working in the Corporate world a few months ago, I had my 401k set up and I was contributing at 12% per pay period, which was fine. And now that I’m not in the corporate world, I still have it set to pull a good amount of money out of my bank account every month. I gotta retire sometime.  I just don’t want to be broke when I do.

Yeah, it’d be great to win the lotto. I can’t front. I still play Mega Millions…lol. But until that happens, and while I’m still outsourcing my life, I’ll just go ahead and let ING do the dirty work.

We got a tree! and booooy is it nice! We bought it on Wednesday, and decorated it on Thursday night…

Super cute…only a few presents…I’m workin on it.

Things have been better…I can’t complain…I think the week before last, was the longest I’d had in a long time…I wasnt feeling good, and I was super stressed because I’d been rackin my brain on big decisions.

Last night (Saturday), Incog drove me to Griffith Park Observatory, to view the Light Festival!

OMG…so much fun…so pretty in fact. I Love my babe’s surprises…:couple:

After Incog left for work today, grabbed my usual White Chocoalte Mocha from Starbucks (Incog calls it my crack addiction) and headed out to my cousin Jen’s house to spend some time with her…was really good to go to lunch and catch up. After that, I headed back towards home, stopping at Target to return the extra tree decorations I had purchased. I wasnt sure what size tree we would get, so I had spent a little much.

I’m home…almost finished with my Christmas cards…still missing a few addresses (If you’re reading this, I blame YOU!). I’m looking forward to this Christmas…so happy to be in the presence of people that I love.

Saw II

After I got off work on Friday, Incog and I went to see Saw II and as usual, planned to sneak into another theatre afterwards. Saw II was CRAZY! lol. I had my eyes covered/closed the whole time pretty much. Incog kept attempting to pull my hands down, which he normally has to do during scary movies, but I knew better. lol

After much contemplation, we decided to sit through…God, I cant even remember what the name of the movie was…lol..there was about 10 other people in the theatre besides us, and about 1/2 way through, we got up and left because I was asleep and incog was getting there.

Pee Wee Football
Saturday morning, we woke up and headed out to Hawthorne to watch Incog’s nephew’s pee wee football game. I had to stop off at Starbucks…you know me. lol…It was super cute watching the little black girls cheer their little brothers on.

On the way home, Incog and I had a discussion about Mariquana…God, I didnt know there were so many different kinds. :surprised: I’m not a smoker of any sorts, so the topic was never of interest to me. But it was just interesting to know that you could walk up to someone and say “You got some stress?” I just cant imagine myself or anyone asking for “stress”. But hey…whatever makes ya happy/high! :thumbsup:

Sunday is usually my “get work done” day. I spent Sunday morning finishing up:

Waxing and Corn Removal
After finishing up the sites, I headed out for the day with a few errands in mind…*sigh*….sad state of affairs. When I got to the Salon where I normally get my eyebrows waxed, there was about a 20 minute wait because this black man and his wife were getting their corns done. :sick: The HORROR.

But Amy was there to hook up my eyebrows…so happy for that. She’s the best in the City. Trust me….you know about me and my eyebrows….lol.

Gimme back my money you stupid….
On the way from the salon, I thought to make a business account deposit through the drive through ATM since I would be passing it on my way to Targe’. A few clients still rely on paper checks to get things done, which is fine although it takes an extra step to get my cash. It’s not like it’s all done online, like most clients. Anyhow, as I was inserting the check deposit envelope into the machine, it decided to close to on my envelope. And then began the tug of war, the cursing, the middle finger at the video camera, the banging… *sigh*. It wouldnt give it back.

I know I know….it was for my own security, but…how much security is it when the envelope edge is sticking out of the Gatdamn Machine? Someone with enough will power would probably try to pry it out after I was gone. :thumbsdown: I called the 1800 number and spoke with someone who said that the machine would be maintenanced in the morning and not to worry.

I called the actual branch this morning, and he said maintenance would be there in the afternoon and realistically, “my deposit might not be in there”. :pissed:

Targe’
After spending 20 minutes searching the aisles for a halloween costume to wear to work today…I realized, it wasnt gonna happen, NOR was I REALLY in the spirit.

Maybe I’ll just go to work in my pajamas, throw my hair in pigtails, grab that old beat up UCLA bear on a noose, my pink furry slippers and ROLL OUT!

Eh…fugg it.

Halloween
No one’s in costume yet…there’s only three of us here. I’m SOO happy, I didnt wear my pajamas. Maybe no one will come in today and I wont have to put it on. I mean, it’s here….in my travel bag…maybe it’ll stay there.

This morning started off interesting…*sigh*…

I woke up extra early because I couldnt sleep…Then finally when I got back to sleep, I realized it was 6:57AM and the alarm was about to go off ANYWAY. So I stayed awake. I did my usual morning, check emails, check bank accounts, get ready for work… But, I couldnt help but to lay back down. So I did….and I ended up waking up in a panick because I realized it was passed the time that I should be getting on the freeway.

So I eventually got to the front door and realized that I couldnt find my credit card. I mean, what would the morning be without Starbucks. I couldnt find it…and the last place I remembered using it was at SavOn, last night. *head in hands* I lost my last credit card last friday and I had transfered money into THIS account, so I could use THAT card, and now…I can’t find IT. So now..I dont have ANY DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS….

So when I got to our parking lot, I called incog from the car and let out some steam since I couldnt find it in the car either. He suggested calling Savon when I got to work and that he could go pick it up while he was running errands today. :thumbsup: I headed towards the freeway. I got there and realized it was going to be an EXTRA long ride on the 405 being that Sunset was backed up for whatever reason. It took me 1.5 hours to get to work BECAUSE OF THE DAMN 405. *sigh*

So when I finally did get to work, I ran to get the mail, because I knew the mailroom would be closing….I got there and the ladies were being extra nice and let me have the mail even though it was closed. HOWEVER, on the way out of the mailroom, I couldnt get out. And the ladies had already locked themselves on the inside of the mailroom. So I was standing with LOTS of MAIL, and huge headache, in the middle of a loading dock underneath one of the tallest buildings in Century City.

So I decided to get creative and use the freight elevator shaft. There was no one around…HEY! Why not?! So i got in, pressed 2nd Floor, the doors shut….aaaaaaaaaand……I was stuck.

Eventually one of the guards heard me and let me out and I was able to get up stairs somewhat….on time?

I’m going downstairs to plead with the folks at Washington Mutual to let me have some money out of one of the accounts because I NEED some COFFEE like I NEED a RIGHT ARM.

Today was my mom’s birthday. So i took the day off like I normally do. Since my dad died, I try to fill the void on special days….

Incog and I drove out to her house this afternoon to paint her bedroom wall at her birthday request and to take her to dinner. When we got there, it seemed like it was going to be real easy, but I guess I made it harder than it had to be. :blush: You know who decided to get creative and write on the wall before she got started, and ended up having to do several coats to cover up the writing. My side of the wall didnt look as good as Incog’s, but I guess that was because he was doing what he was apposed to be doin….:smile: As usual, he acted the counterpart and picked up where I slacked…..guess that’s why I love him so much….:couple:

We went to dinner at The Outback….perty tasty, I must say. After dinner, we drove back to my mom’s, got our stuff together and drove out to the Camarillo Outlets….It was about 8pm, so we werent sure if it’d be open, but it was….inspite of the overcast due to the beach proximity. I purchased two Guess Watches….(1) for work and (1) for fun….We got back to the ridge at about 9:00pm, and headed over to Starbucks so that I could grab my White Chocolate Mocha and Lemon Pound Cake before heading home….

It feels like Saturday, but I’m happy that I get to spend one more day with my babe before he has to go back to work…

I regret to inform you…that the pooch in the previous post….isn’t mine. And apparently, we wont be getting one similar. :hissy: But ummm…..yeah…the bag he was sitting in…..well…that’s mine……so what……..I bought a bag….*crossing arms*…..i cheated….a little…..OH FUGG IT, i cheated a lot……AND WHAT? whatcha gonna do ’bout it? *putting up fists* ….A girl has to buy clothes every once in a while…and you want her to at least look stylish RIGHT? *running behind door* I wanted my last purchase to be a good one….and dangit….IT WAS……duncha think? Well, even if ya DONT…it’s already DONE….it’s too late……lemme alone…..*shouting from behind door* WHO ASKED YOU ANYWAYS!

Anyhow…..I can’t WAIT for Wednesday…lol….life will be SO much easier….Mondays are always D-days…..feel like i have to walk in with my fist up ready for a fight. I think we have spinning tonight too……so like shatzi says…. I’m gonna have to take it out on the machine.

I feel like the last few weeks have flown by though…only one more month and 1 week until our Costa Rica trip and i can smell the clean air now. I’m gonna wanna bottle it up and bring it back to Los Angeles, and sniff it every few days to remind me of wonderful days gone.

I finally made a decision about the camcorder and as of now….there’s not significant need for one. I HAVE one….I guess, i need to just calm my cookies until the next latest sony camcorder tech comes out and invest then….come on…let’s be practical…how am i gonna be able to do all the things that I plan to do in the next three years if i keep feeding my technology habit…..*completely and utterly not even MENTIONING the clothing habit – that doesn’t count* :soapbox:

The weekend went rather smoothly…we went to see “The Interpretor” and “Sin City” on Saturday….Sin City was pretty okay….i wasnt expecting to like it since it was in Black & White, but you know what? It was perty good….it kept me enthralled because it was an action movie. I LOVE action movies. Same with “The Interpretor”……great movie…kept ya guessing the whole time….And i think i’d watch it on HBO in Demand when it comes out….maybe rent the DVD…..burn the DVD…..ya know…:thumbsup: After the movies, we went to Starbucks and I got my White Chocolate Mocha….soooo good goin down…lol….

Sunday, i spent two hours in the gym working necessary areas….and tonight….will probably be spinning class…but I’m not sure yet….it just depends on how i feel about driving…lol..
