When you install a plugin there shouldnt be much configuration…

And I’m trying to understand why not just…make changes when the plugin is in development so that there’s not a million people wondering why their emails arent being sent out…

Besides that…everything else is okay…no real complaints….YET. a ha ha….

The new business cards arrived when I was out of the office yesterday. The ladies downstairs were nice enough to grab the package for me. I love overnightprints.com. Since we incorporated, I had to put Inc. all over everything….oy.

When incog got home yesterday, we went to see the Harold and Kumar movie until the power came back on.  Can you say…SEXUAL? That had to be the most sexual movie I’ve seen in a long time…

And I even learned a new word. *a tee hee*…don’t ask…until you see the movie…and the shirt that was worn.

Still feel like death…sickness is the worst.

It seems you hear the phrase “locked out” more than you hear the phrase “locked in”. But guess what…I’m locked in…lol

Today was one of those scheduled power outage days up here in the hills and everyone remembered to get out before 9am except me. When I walked outside, I was wondering why there was an unusual amount of cars parked on the street. People had parked their cars on the street instead of inside their garages because they were smart and had REMEMBERED to do so. Goodness gracious… When the power went out you could hear the mad scramble for cars…as if folks couldn’t live without some form of media…TV, Radio and dare I say it…INTERNET!

When I received the flyer, I should have put it on the fridge like I do just about everything else…oy vey. It said that they’d be working on the lines up here and that power would be out from 9am to 5pm. There’s these new luxury townhomes that they’re building next to our development and I think they’re the culprit. They’re also to blame for the “stupid – makes no sense to have this here – everyone ignore it” light that they put at the bottom of the hill.

So I’m locked in until 5pm today…blogging from the blackberry. I guess its okay… I haven’t been feeling too great for the past week or so since SOMEONE is sick and gave it to me… *points at incog*

Anyways…let me get back to doing nothing…lol… Feels kinda good actually…

Update: I walked outside to go get the mail and our manager was walking around just as bored as I was. She said that I could keep calling Southern California Edison to get updates….so I figured…why not? Something to do!

But when I called…they had extended our outage from 5pm to 7pm. WTF?

MMMk…so how many people are watchin this madness? I know there’s a lot. Lol This New York girl is crazy. But at least I know where she got it from.

But I’m lookin at deelishous (sp?) and she seems nice enough…Why Flav? Has anyone else asked themselves that question? She’s right though. If you looked up New York in the dictionary you would see drama next to her name. Lol ..i mean…if it wasn’t listed as a state.

And I don’t know where New York has been but Whitney and Bobby is…no more. But I’ll give her a pass since this show was probably taped a few months before that.

I’m mad at this boat with the trampoline on the front. That’s hot. Watchin them is makin me sick though.

I’m mad he said “Now you’re steppin out of bounds New York” ..this girl has been “steppin out of bounds since Season 1. Where was he? Lol Oh wait…that’s right…with Hoopz.

The commercial for “Catch a Fire” the Movie just came on. It looks like it might be interesting.

Anyhow…he’s about to select deelishous (sp?) after this commercial so I’m gonna go watch…im glad he picked her cause New York is something else….

After reading Schatzi’s blog, I was reminded that i need to get back on track with this weight loss thing.

Watching ANTM:7 tonight FURTHER inspired me to get back on track. I could be one of those girls up there if I stop stuffin my face and eating so much bread…..and start working out again. Some of those girls were a little….:sick: My elliptical is collecting dust. My excuse is always…well, i just paid to get my hair pressed…and us black women who dont have perms know that when you get your hair pressed…if you just walk outside, and it’s a tad bit humid, your hair snaps right back into the natural curl. Nothing wrong with it….but it’s a bust after you’ve paid to get it done….and if you know me, you know i like the silky straight.

In any case, my birthday and birthday party are the same day (October 6th). So my goal is *best Harvey impression*….3lbs.

I’ve been really sick and havent been able to work out for the past two weeks. :fever: It really sucks, but I’m still watching what I eat *sort of*. After the company conference, I’ll be able to put a leash around my health and find out what the heck is going on with me. Life shouldnt be like this. The emergency room twice in one week? Come on now…Lord Help.

No one ever said it would be easy. Life that is.

I still havent been able to get in contact with Lael.
It’s times like these where she’d listen and tell me everything will be alright. Or we’d go driving and end up at the beach and just sit there and talk…she’s one of my best friends. I gotta figure out how to find her.

I registered for classes for Summer 06. I’ll be in class 3 days a week. I’m stepping things up because I know we’ve set these BIG goals. Church helps. :pray:

We bought our tickets for our next mini-vaca this past weekend. Seattle Mariners game in July…good tickets too. I’ll make sure to take a lot of pictures. :camera:
I opened a Sharebuilder account under the supervision of a classmate who trades stocks for a living.
I stood in line at WAMU and opened another Savings Account. You can never save too much.

I received a photo of my second cousin kaila today. She’s the cutest. :tearsjoy:

We’re supposed to be getting our leather couches today…:woohoo:…so i need to clean…:bitch:…how is that for a mix of emotions. :blush:

I filed my taxes today too. I owe the government money. :pissed: Damn them. :bitch: Damn Bush. Damn Condomlisa. :sick: Damn em all to hell. :wtf: No one ever said being in business for yourself would be cheap.

It seems as we get closer and closer to moving (the job), the more traffic there is every morning and every night. Somehow, my 1.5 hour drive to work has turned into 1.75 hours. Something must have happened after the new year. God, we have to get out of California.

I didnt go to cycling this morning. I ended up going to sleep around 12am and when the alarm went off at 7am, I wasnt even thinking about a bike, or about gym shoes. :thumbsdown: All I could think was, “Please God…just 20 more minutes”.

Brokeback Mountain

I’ve heard SO many things about this movie, so much so that I JUST had to edit this post to change the name that I wrote at the top. Somehow, I wrote BAREback Mountain. I blame Incog. I’ve heard so many BAD things about this movie, that I actually want to go see it, just to see the BAD things for myself. When browsing Yahoo Movies, Incog noticed that people either gave it an F or they gave it an A/B. There wasnt really an inbetween. I did however notice that there were a lot of registrations to the yahoo site and a lot of “A” ratings given in order to boost the ratings…:thumbsdown:

The scenary is beautiful, but the movie moves along like your typicaly reality tv shock and awe. This is a movie about infidelity, lies, and shock value. The shock value is that it’s about gay people which really isn’t that shocking now a days. Hollywood should give us a break already and make a compelling story instead of trying to put shock value on everything. If you love reality tv, then this movie is for you. If you’re looking for a heartfelt movie then rent Terms of Endearment.

Not the kind of movie to promote by any means.
I did not enjoy it, and found it to be sad that the concept of leaving behind your family and abandoning your children and promises in order to have, what is nothing more than an affair with a former flame, is somehow “good” simply because its a gay lover! this is a very bad message.

but i think this movie is horrible!!!! ARghh! It reinforces the idea that gays have no morals. These characters lie and cheat. It makes it look like that is the way all gays are! And it makes me sick!!

In any case, maybe I’ll be able to talk Incog into going. *We’re currently discussing how much I hate BEETS.* Things are good Business Wise, Thank God. If it wasnt for the Business, I dont think I’d have extra “play around” money for the weekends. Website

I ordered my first grad school book. :pissed: *falls over backwards* I might have to go to the library from now on and copy some pages. I keep telling myself that it will be good to have the book for when I start writing my thesis, whenever that will be.

We woke up rather early today and drove out to Gardena to see Incog’s dad. Then we headed to the LA Auto Show. God, it was so packed. And I never realized how RUDE people can be. Not one were people bumping into eachother without saying excuse me, but people were rushing in front of people to see cars that werent going to be moving for another week and a half, and one guy had the NERVE to BURP in my EAR. :sick: I just dont understand it. :wtf: I dont remember people being that rude last year. Or there being that many people, for that matter. Maybe we DO need to get out of California…move to one of the northern states…cause southern california is getting too…uh, run down. And I’ll leave that at that. Too many people, too many cars…just…TOO MUCH. I’m considering a weekend trip to Portland to see what it’s like in that area. Anything will be better than THIS, at this point.

I got my parking pass today from CSUN. I opted to purchase a parking pass instead of trying to scramble for street parking in the evening, although I did hear that it wasnt so bad. When I was at USC, I had a parking pass, but I still managed to rack up about $2,000 in parking tickets my senior year. Sorry Mom. :uhh: It was to the point where I would go into the Transportation Department and they would know my name…AND my car, being that it had spoiledRHOtten written on the rear window and RHOTTEN on the license plate. It was too ridiculous to dispute, so they just GAVE me a parking pass for the last two months after we had spent so much. :surprised: I dont want to go down that road again.

It’s hard to believe that classes are starting in a week. I mean…I’m gonna be in Grad School. Something that I didnt think I would WANT to do after four difficult years at USC. But alas, I’ve set some rigorous goals and I intend to meet them, not just for me…but for me and incog and any offspring. *giggle* That sounded so weird.

Right now, we’re trying to decide whether or not we want to go snowboarding tonight from 5pm to 10pm. It’s 29°s and I have to get some gear…*sigh*. We need to go to REI. Alright…must go tinkle. There’s nothing like having to go when it’s 30 °s outside and your legs feel like they’re going to freeze off.
