I just got back from the gym, but I know folks were waiting for these….so alas…here they are.

A few weeks ago, me and incog went to Santa Monica Promenade. We witnessed a tragedy.

Incog must love ya’ll….I completely forgot that I had my camera and had to walk a little faster to catch up to the man in this photo. As you could see, his legs were long….and mine are just….not.

Last Friday, Incog and I went to Oxnard to meetup with my best friend Lael and her BF and new son. :hug:

I dont know if you remember, but I had been searching for her info for a long time, and we finally connected a few weeks ago. :woohoo: I missed her so much. Even though she hijacked my “baby name”. lol… The things you tell your girlfriends and cousin in PRIVATE. :uhh:

Last weekend, I traveled to Hemet to meetup with the rest of the bridesmaids and Tavia for Rehearsal. I didnt take pictures, but I should have. In any case, I’ll make sure to take lots of photos at the wedding this weekend. :camera: I still havent lost all the weight that I wanted to, but at least I fit the size dress I wanted to. :woohoo: I guess inches are more important than pounds.

Paper due this Friday…gotta finish it by Thursday to take into account that I’ll be doing lots on Friday, including driving out to Riverside again with a Lexi full of Bachelorette Party Decorations and Bridesmaids Outfits….

At work, they had a cake in honor of Kipp *who is leaving* and I. It was super good, from Gelson’s. I’m going to Mom’s tomorrow for lunch with incog, and planning to pick up my Canon Powershot SD30 the day that it arrives at BestBuy.

And as a treat for myself for my birthday, I bought myself the new LG VX9800 and according to the guy at the counter, i was the second person to buy one at the store. *cheese*

I like it cause i can get my text message on, without having to use T9. It’s like a sidekick…for Verizon. It retails at $456.00, BUT, i sold my old phone on Ebay and got $250.00 for it, so after the taxes of the new phone, i pretty much only paid $250.00 for the new one *half the price*.

I came home to the brand new Pink and White Jordans that I had been oogling while we were at the Santa Monica Promenade on Saturday. Incog gave them to me as a present. I’m soo happy!

Welp! I took the GRE, but I think I could have done better, so I had rescheduled to take it on November 11th. But when i contacted the Program Department of the Univ. that I’m applying to, they told me not to worry about it, so we’ll see. I cancelled the GRE for that day and I’m supposed to meet with them on the 25th of this month, after I return from AZ.

I added the radio blog to the actual site, so the pop-up is optional, but if you have your speakers on right now…you should be listening to everything that I am. :thumbsup:

Thank you all so much for your well wishes on the GRE. prayers have now shifted to D-Day (OCTOBER 25th), the date of my Interview with the Masters Program Director. Pray for me PLEASE!

Last week was pretty good. I have no complaints. Yesterday, Incog and I went out to his dad’s house, and then headed over to Santa Monica Promenade. I picked up a new hat, a new shirt and some luggage for my AZ trip from the Guess Store. Super Cute stuff, I tell you…

Anyhow, you guys know this is the GRE week…so i probably wont post before my Birthday *Thursday*.
But I love you guys..keep me in your prayers.

Today…I went to the gym…

As i walked in to the gym, i was greeted by staff who now know me as “CE” since one of them decided to play detective and look me up on the internet…*waving*…I like Sunday training sessions because it means there will be less people there and it’s a lot quieter…

Anyhow, I walked over to the admin office, said hello to everyone, and asked my trainer where he wanted me to start. And of course, he said Cardio….WOO HOO! :duh: So i walked out of the office and over to the set of *almost empty* treadmills. There was one being occupied by a black man who was bopping his head something vicious…if it wasnt Ludacris :thumbsup:, it was probably 50 cent :thumbsdown: blaring in his headset. The machine i chose was on the end…away from the black man who was now starting to hum….It was a quiet little spot…..i liked it…I added some incline, set my speed to a low 2 and prepared to get my heartrate up…and then all of a sudden a black man comes up behind me…he has a thick accent…very definitive…..

Man: 2, 4, 24…we’re gonna get you going…2 minutes walk, 4 minutes jog, 24 minutes run……

Me: *turning around thinking “Is this man talking to ME?”*

Man: Yep….2,4,24

Me: Me?

Man: Yep….2,4,24…come on…do it…let’s go…

Me: Are you serious? *looking around for my trainer who I could see through the huge glass windowed office*

Man: Sure am….come on……let’s go….

Me: *looking at my panel…* I just got here…..*looking at his shirt franticly to see if it had a Bally’s Logo*

Man: So? We’re gonna do it…..this is how i get to 26 miles a day….I stay in shape…come on….

Me: *thinking – “maybe if i just ignore him” *

Man: *reaches across the two metal bars that seperated my machine from his*:crowded:

Me: Is he really gonna…..:pissed:

Man: *increases the incline*

Me: He cant really be….:pissed:

Man: *increases the speed*

Me: HOLD UP….*flies backwards off the machine*…

At this point…..my trainer comes out and asks me if i’m okay….I look at him like “NIGGA WHERE WERE YOU??” Meanwhile, the crazy black man increases his OWN speed to sprint….:wtf:

Me: I’M DONE…NEXT MACHINE, PLEASE….I’M COOL….*shaking hand and head – thinking :wtf: just happened here??*

Needless to say…Don’t TOUCH My Treadmill. It’s NOT nice.

It’s the weekly wrap up for me….finally getting things the way I want them to be…

*sigh*….i Love my new job….it’s everything that I thought it would be….Challenging, Fun, Exciting…all rolled into one. I know that it’s going to prepare me for the GRE and for the Series 7 if I decide to go that route. The people are great, and the environment that I’ve always dreamed of. :surprised: When the office moves even closer to our house, things will be even better…:cloud9:..everyone at work is really excited for the move as EVERYONE *including the CEO* lives in Northridge.

Last night, me and incog chilled…..he made Fetuccini Alfredo….MAN was it TASTY. :chat: This morning, I had to get up kind of early in order to finish up some site requests and modifications. NO complaints…but I’m looking forward to this evening…..

I met up with my Trainer this afternoon to go over my expectations and to pay all those wonderful Personal Trainer fees. He’s going to be helping me to get to where I need to be so that I can start doing Print again….that’sthe plan….:shhh: . I believe tonight, me and incog will be going out to Santa Monica to walk around and eat. YAY for relaxation. :uhh:

Even though I love my job, I always dread mondays….:sick: . But I gotta do what I gotta do…I was able to burn MH – Naked this morning, so that I can have “drive to work” music. I havent burned a CD in FOREVER. God, I think the last one was Amerie…lol….and I un even listen to THAT. :duh:

It was hella windy at the pier on Saturday, but it was so very cool to get out and spend the weekend with W. :heartbeat: We went out to the Third Street Promenade and did some walking around. After that, we headed out for the pier to see what was going on over there. There was a $3.00 all day golf on the pier that all the little kids play in. But it seemed so dirty, since it was on the pier, and it doesnt seem like the pier area is kept up very much…all kinds of trash everywhere. It’s not like it used to be when my dad used to take me and my mom. It’s more advanced now, with all the rides and everything, but in the same respects….more run down… :thumbsdown: I made the mistake of drinking a WHOLE bunch of water before we left…so by the time we got down to the pier, I had to use the restroom…But even THAT took some talent. When i walked in…it smelled to HOLY HIGH HEAVEN and there were two people in front of me. We were waiting for three occupied stalls, one of which was being used by a 4 year old, whose mother was holding her door. I have to say…URGH. As soon as the little girl was done, she came out diggin in her butt with her panties down…I would have RAN for the door at that point, but the little girl had already beat me to the knob…*with her hand….:mad:*, and i had to use the restroom really bad. Meanwhile, the little girl…we’ll call her Suzy…was ignoring her mother, who kept shouting, “did you wash your hands, honey?”, knowing doggone well that the little girl had not even VENTURED near the sink. By then the two girls who were in front of me, were occupying stalls and my turn was next. The little girl’s mother turned to me and said, “this one is free”. :wtf: Over my water filled body!! :wtf: I said, “No….I think i’ll wait. Thanks.”

Anyhow, after my bathroom adventure, we headed back, taking in the sunset one last time. The tin man that W photographed was one of the coolest things out there..big black man, dressed in silver…makin a whole bunch of money…i un blame him…lol.

After we left the pier, we headed back to the car which we parked in the Santa Monica mall adjacent to the Third Street Promenade. We went through the mall so that I could stop at Hot Dog on a Stick and get my dad’s favorite lemonade. While standing in line, i notice this guy *early twenties*, carrying a Coach bag….:lol: Comedy…W laughed as I tried to get all different angles of this autrocity all the while being discreet. We quickly left after that as W’s sinuses started acting up due to the Korean Barbeque being cooked close by…pepper was horrid on the sinuses.

After we left Santa Monica, we headed home and relaxed for a minute before we decided to go to Claim Jumpers..:thumbsup:..I think I had one of the best conversations over dinner…allowed me to shed some of the things that I was concerned about…it helped remind me why i can’t wait to be with this man for the rest of my life. :heart:…..a free drink, and free piece of chocolate cake packaged up and ready to go….i was set for the night.

This morning, i woke up and set out to discover the difference between the two Bally’s that reside in Northridge. The one that I went to last week, was kinda low key, rather small, rather homey. So i decide to hit the one that was about 2 miles further up the same road. When i pulled up, i could tell this was gonna be something extravagant based on the cars that were parked outside. While this gym was more upscale, and for the “older” generation if you will…it was lacking my favorite machine…The Precor. :thumbsup:After walking around to see what else they had, I realized that it was much like the Bally’s in Hollywood…but with fewer machines that i liked..and more of the weight lifting kind, an Outdoor pool as opposed to an indoor pool…and a juicebar as opposed to a girl standing behind the counter pulling gatorades. I’d say that they were pretty equal in amenities, but the atmosphere was just….different. I left. I went back to my “kinda low key, rather small, rather homey” Bally’s closer to my weekend home. It’s more my speed…:soapbox:

Anyhow, i need to shower….but it was great sharing the experience with you. Think i’ll settle down and watch HBO on demand for a while before i fall asleep… I hope you all had a blessed weekend…and have a great Monday morning…
