Windows 7 Ultimate - Reinstall

Windows 7 Ultimate - Reinstall

Cause my PC was on that BULLSkee this week.

On Tuesday, it decided to FAIL when I uninstalled iTunes.

I had to uninstall iTunes because it wasn’t sending my Nike+ iPod information to NikePlus.com.

#FAIL

Anyways, Wednesday rolled around and then my laptop decided to not boot up AT ALL. *eye roll*

So I spent a good majority of Wednesday trying to re-load Windows 7.

However, this time, I installed Windows 7 Ultimate. And THIS time, I actually hacked it to disable the Activation Check.
Luckily, I was able to backup all of my files while it was doing what it was doing, and I spent a few hours deleting the stuff in windows.old/ directory because not all of it had the Courtney Elizabeth permissions. *Damn you, TrustedInstaller*…

But … all seems to be better…

Now…lemme go find some wood to knock on.

Brain Overload. IE6 must die.

15 Oct

web-lebrity

The work ethic has been non-stop, with lulls long enough to shower and eat, and end the day with a round of House Hunters on HGTV.

It could almost be considered sad.
But I’m on a mission.

With the Bahamas trip coming up the first week of November, the goal is to make sure that all projects are closed, or on track for completion the following week… and that all invoices have been paid.

I’m sooo ready for a vaca.

Yesterday, I spent a few hours dealing with design / browser compatibility for IE6. I wanted to scream.

IE6 must die.

It needs to die. WHY even bother using it now that IE 7 is out? Is it that your network administrator is too lazy to do the network wide upgrade? Is it that you refuse to step out of your shell and try IE7? The only reason I mention IE 7 is because I know how difficult it will be for you to grasp Firefox. Internet Explorer shouldn’t even really be an option, but alas…since Microsoft monopolized the market and 9 times out of 10, you’ll have some version of Internet Explorer already installed on your factory computer, I know that for you… it’s easier to deal than to upgrade. My brain hurts.

Alright, let me get back to work…
Still praying for Mojo…

Pray for Mojo

Pray for Mojo

A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about the Mojave Experience…yep…"Experience".
I referred to the Mojave Experience as Mojo Jojo

Well, I found this shirt while I was browsing one of my favorite t-shirt sites and I had to buy it…

So…let’s say a silent prayer for Windows Vista and their WACK ass Mojave Experience.

*head bowed – left hand up to Jesus*

Nope…didn’t work…
Repackaged Vista still sucks.

Anyways, I’ve done my running around for the day and will be MIA until Monday probably.

Monday is my birthday. *just one more time for the nation*

We’ll be boarding a plane tonight headed for Mississippi – to be at Jackson State’s Homecoming activities.

(UPDATE:) I was hood winked and bamboozled into thinking that I was going to the Homecoming game…

I’ll post photos when we’re back.

Ciao!

The Mojave “Experience”

windows vista fail The Mojave ExperienceYeah yeah yeah…

I know it’s Mojave Experiment

Well…NOW I do…

But I didn’t before…*because I could pretty much care LESS* and so now, whenever someone types in MojaveExperience… *all one word* …my website comes up.

Oops.

Maybe Microsoft should have came up with a shorter no-fail name. How bout THAT.

Okay, so while I have an audience…let me just say…

Windows Vista sucks!

I feel compelled to reiterate what folks have been saying since Microsoft released this wack, sub-par product…Windows Vista should not have been released. And no matter what way you package it…whether it’s Mojave Experiment or Mojave Experience or the Mojo Jojo Experience, the crap will continue to suck. The licensing sucks, the UAC sucks…and I don’t even want to talk about what you did to my router when you were first brought into my proud little networking environment. The mere flashbacks make me want to drop kick this laptop. *But I gotta work tomorrow … so let me not*
