I woke up this morning, let player out, and hopped into my gym clothes.

I didnt want to have to drive to LA Fitness and then have to drive home to get ready to come in today, so I figured it’d be easier to walk up the street to the complex gym since it was closer.

As soon as I got to the front door of the equipment room, I bent down to switch into my running shoes. I noticed another girl coming out of her unit and walking towards the room.

Apparently, I didnt tie my shoes fast enough because she went in and proceeded to lock the door behind her, as if I wasnt standing in front of the door.

When I finally jimmied my way in, she was already on the one and only treadmill.

Heifer.

The Wrong Shoes

Yesterday *Friday*, I hit the gym in the morning as usual…only this time, I was running on slow because I went to sleep a little late the night before. When I got there, I realized that there was a sign up list for the Cycle Class and although I hadnt anticipated on doing cycle, I decide that I may as well. I had been doing cycle in conjunction with other cardio every morning since Monday, and wanted Friday as a rest day from the bike, but I mean…the list was there…there was open slots…why not?

When I got in there, there were just a few bikes left in the back, which was cool. I set up my bike to my liking, and started to pedal, just to get a good warm up going knowing that the class would start in 20 minutes. Everything was cool.

When the class started, and she asked us to get into third position *standing, but leaning forward, pressure on your butt and legs and feet*, I nearly died. I realized that I had on the wrong shoes. If you’ve taken cycle or pacing class before you know that the pedals have straps to strap your tennis shoes in, and it’s usually an all metal pedal. Not really a bike pedal with black plastic surrounding it. But an all.metal.pedal. Lol.

As soon as I stood up, I realized that the shoes werent thick enough on the bottom. I could feel the metal just grating into the bottom of my foot. And she wanted me to ADD.RESISTANCE? Ha. Please.

But I stuck through it… I was cringing the whole way through. lol. Glad I stayed in it though. But never will I forget my cycle shoes again! Promise!

I like the cycling class though. Monday – Wednesday, there’s one instructor, and then Thursday – Friday, there’s another instructor. While they’re both female, they have different styles. One instructor likes to talk you through the climbs and assure you that there’s “only 2 rap songs on this CD promise”… and another likes to hop off of her bike and run up to yours and shout at you to go faster and to “put your back into it”. That particular trainer started the class off by explaining how “ghetto” the bikes were because LA Fitness’ idea of fixing them up was painting the handle bars with black paint, and adding new straps on the pedals. I’m not sure which instructor I like better, however, the first one has more hip hop / r&b music, while the second has more…like….uuuh….non-hip hop and r&b music. ha!

But…that’s my cycle class in a nutshell. I’m excited for next week. Woo hoo!

Getting back on track…

It feels good to be getting back on track with my physical activity and healthy eating.

Bootcamp starts tomorrow morning. Whatcha know about it!? Returning Bootcampers got a discount on this session, so I was alllll over it. Trust and believe.  Hmm? Discount? *shoots credit card hand up in the air*

I’m not really a CHEF, but with Incog’s help, I’ve been trying. Mainly because it means that we’re not going to be eating out a lot…and that means, less calories, and less fat, and less of a nasty feeling in the morning. I made chicken tacos last week and I must admit…*wipes self down*…I did pretty darn good. I’m thinking about making some nice grilled chicken breast tomorrow night…mmm. Mouth’s watering already.

I’m on a mission. Let’s go. Wednesday Weigh-In is coming up, and I’m feeling kind of excited. lol. woo hoo!

So, who’s doing Wednesday Weigh-In? BGood? ADot? What’s the dealio?

I promise it is. One of the things that I’ll be doing this year is getting back to where I need to be … healthwise. I kind of … slipped off the meter for the Holiday Season. Yeah, I know…excuses…

But, I’ll be where I need to be in a few months. And I’m super excited for that…

alright, enough of the third person…DAMNIT I HAVE AN ISSUE. AND IT CANT BE CONQUERED! :uhh: I went to Kolobags because I said that whenever I got a laptop that I would want to buy one of their bags. Their bags are so cute. :thumbsup: At first, I wanted one of the Mobile Edge ones, but I ended up ordering a PaulPac one…super cute. And then things kinda just spiraled out of control from there…it turned into two JUICY COUTURE shirts, and one JUICY COUTURE Pink Royalty Track Suit…:dance:

Anyhow, today was rough…we’re still moving at work…my arms want to fall off. :o uch:That’ll be the case next week, so I’m not sure if I’ll be posting that much.

Incog will be home later on tonight, so I’ll probably wait for him to go to LA Fitness. Either that, or wake up at 5am for my morning Cycling from Hell Appointment. :pissed: Who Knows. I’ll keep you posted…
