7 of 365: Switch!

I havent blogged in a few days…

But it hasn’t been on purpose.

I’m still awake, however, I’d rather be in bed.

My body is going through some sort of insomnia phase where I crash at about 1 or 2 in the morning and then I’m awake at 6:30 / 7 in the morning. It’s like a biological alarm clock in the morning…always around the same time, and never past 7. It’s also made me just a tad bit moody lately…

I wake up on grouch mode and I’m just about the worst person to be around until I have my coffee.

I revamped the layout for August…

I’m still trying to decide what will go in the BIG WHITE BLANK SPACE at the top of the page…but I’ll figure something out, I guess.

Give me time.

I switched purses last night.

I was tempted to purchase a new bag on Nordstroms.com and after a while of searching, I realized that the bag that I really wanted was already in my closet in it’s little Coach bag protector.

That’ll teach me.

So far today, I’ve gotten two compliments on a bag that I thought I’d probably never use again. It almost feels brand new. Further verifying that I made a good choice in saving the money.

However, I did purchase The Wire Season 2 and 3 today from Best Buy. They were on sale for $34.99 each…I dig it.

Maybe I’ll shoot those in the AM.

Alright….Nite Nite.

Back from New York

15 Sep

Yep….flew to New York and got back Wednesday Night….been kind of a hectic few weeks….

 Back from New York
Who knew I could be that chipper at 8am.

UPDATE ON: That Little F0cker – I got my $50 refund. I guess it was “the best they could do”…so Im not really complaining anymore. But I WILL be telling everyone I know about their little scam.

Anyhow…New York was a lot of fun…had my share of alchy and desserts on my down time from work. We didnt have time to explore the city because we were in Albany, but it’s okay because that means I’ll still be able to experience it w/ Incog one day.

I took a few photos and updated my albums….feel free to check those out…HERE.

They’re slightly out of focus…depicting the way things have been the past few weeks…

:camera: The Photo Album

But I think I’m on track now…or at least I feel like I am…:surprised:

Bought a new Coach for Labor Day…

 Back from New York

It’s already stuffed with goodies….

I dont know what’s exactly up for this weekend…but…you know by now that i’ll have photos of whatever it is….

God…

22 Nov

One person that you always hear me mention is God.

As I rolled out of bed this morning, jumped into some clothes, conversed with Incog about the “color” of his shirt, grabbed my Coach purse, looked to Incog to point me in the direction of the keys to my Brand New Lexus, flew downstairs behind Incog, and got in the front seat of my brand new car, and answered the talking lady who now exists in my brand new car, I realized something…

Only by the grace of God was I able to do all of the things I did this morning. Only by the grace of God was I able to even WAKE UP this morning.

Now you all know I’m not the preachy type, but something has to be said for a God who HEARS when you pray and RESPONDS when you pray.

I have so many things that I’m thankful for this year, I dont even know where to begin. I guess I’ll just start by saying:

Thank you for waking me up this morning, God. Thank you for loving me, God. Thank you for my mom and family, God. Thank you for Incog, God. Thank you for my true friends, God. Thank you for my job, my car, and everything that I have been blessed with, God.

I probably wont post again before Thanksgiving. And you all know that I’ll probably come back with a bazillion photos, but…

what are YOU thankful for?

Have a blessed Tuesday and Wednesday ya’ll…

He smiled at me

19 Jul

smileforme He smiled at me
He was a gentleman in his early 30s and slightly larger…..he was on the elevator this morning…. After I had gotten my morning hot chocolate from the Cafe, I had boarded the elevator expecting to be alone for the ride up to the 14th floor. With hot chocolate, the day’s mail, my coach bag and morning grogginess, I boarded the elevator EXPECTING…….TO BE….ALONE.

But he smiled at me, and said hello….and NOT ONCE on the whole elevator ride up to the 14th floor did his smile fade. His smile made me want to wish him a good day….It was an immediate response from both parties as I exited on the 14th floor and he prepared himself for his exit on the 15th.

You know, God has a way of taking a BLAH morning and turning it into something nice…..There are a lot of nice people in the world, but a lot of time it’s forshadowed by all the NEGATIVE people in the world.

If everyone could have a smile on the elevator like I did, the world would be a better place.

Have a blessed day you guys,

Hella Windy

3 Apr

Hella Windy It was hella windy at the pier on Saturday, but it was so very cool to get out and spend the weekend with W. :heartbeat: We went out to the Third Street Promenade and did some walking around. After that, we headed out for the pier to see what was going on over there. There was a $3.00 all day golf on the pier that all the little kids play in. But it seemed so dirty, since it was on the pier, and it doesnt seem like the pier area is kept up very much…all kinds of trash everywhere. It’s not like it used to be when my dad used to take me and my mom. It’s more advanced now, with all the rides and everything, but in the same respects….more run down… I made the mistake of drinking a WHOLE bunch of water before we left…so by the time we got down to the pier, I had to use the restroom…But even THAT took some talent. When i walked in…it smelled to HOLY HIGH HEAVEN and there were two people in front of me. We were waiting for three occupied stalls, one of which was being used by a 4 year old, whose mother was holding her door. I have to say…URGH. As soon as the little girl was done, she came out diggin in her butt with her panties down…I would have RAN for the door at that point, but the little girl had already beat me to the knob…*with her hand….*, and i had to use the restroom really bad. Meanwhile, the little girl…we’ll call her Suzy…was ignoring her mother, who kept shouting, “did you wash your hands, honey?”, knowing doggone well that the little girl had not even VENTURED near the sink. By then the two girls who were in front of me, were occupying stalls and my turn was next. The little girl’s mother turned to me and said, “this one is free”. :wtf: Over my water filled body!! :wtf: I said, “No….I think i’ll wait. Thanks.”

Hella Windy Anyhow, after my bathroom adventure, we headed back, taking in the sunset one last time. The tin man that W photographed was one of the coolest things out there..big black man, dressed in silver…makin a whole bunch of money…i un blame him…lol.

Hella Windy After we left the pier, we headed back to the car which we parked in the Santa Monica mall adjacent to the Third Street Promenade. We went through the mall so that I could stop at Hot Dog on a Stick and get my dad’s favorite lemonade. While standing in line, i notice this guy *early twenties*, carrying a Coach bag…. Comedy…W laughed as I tried to get all different angles of this autrocity all the while being discreet. We quickly left after that as W’s sinuses started acting up due to the Korean Barbeque being cooked close by…pepper was horrid on the sinuses.

Hella WindyAfter we left Santa Monica, we headed home and relaxed for a minute before we decided to go to Claim Jumpers....I think I had one of the best conversations over dinner…allowed me to shed some of the things that I was concerned about…it helped remind me why i can’t wait to be with this man for the rest of my life.…..a free drink, and free piece of chocolate cake packaged up and ready to go….i was set for the night.

This morning, i woke up and set out to discover the difference between the two Bally’s that reside in Northridge. The one that I went to last week, was kinda low key, rather small, rather homey. So i decide to hit the one that was about 2 miles further up the same road. When i pulled up, i could tell this was gonna be something extravagant based on the cars that were parked outside. While this gym was more upscale, and for the “older” generation if you will…it was lacking my favorite machine…The Precor. :thumbsup:After walking around to see what else they had, I realized that it was much like the Bally’s in Hollywood…but with fewer machines that i liked..and more of the weight lifting kind, an Outdoor pool as opposed to an indoor pool…and a juicebar as opposed to a girl standing behind the counter pulling gatorades. I’d say that they were pretty equal in amenities, but the atmosphere was just….different. I left. I went back to my “kinda low key, rather small, rather homey” Bally’s closer to my weekend home. It’s more my speed…:soapbox:

Anyhow, i need to shower….but it was great sharing the experience with you. Think i’ll settle down and watch HBO on demand for a while before i fall asleep… I hope you all had a blessed weekend…and have a great Monday morning…
