Review: Want!

It wasn’t what I was expecting.

I mean, Want! looked great in the App Store, so I thought I’d try it on for size.

Want! was launched early last year, and cited as a “Window Shopping” application that allows users to “like” the things that they Want! in real life. Not only that, but it allows the user to create categories and walls of images – to organize their wants.

The Huge Process of Registering and Logging In.

  1. I wasn’t able to register to actually use the app through the offered Social Media Accounts: Facebook or Twitter. The app kept crashing each time I selected to register with Facebook or Twitter.
  2. I thought it was my phone, so I rebooted.
  3. I attempted registering with my Facebook and Twitter accounts once more before I gave up.
  4. I had to register directly with Want.com through the app which meant that I had to enter all of my details by hand instead of having them pre-populated with Facebook or Twitter.
  5. Once I hit the final “Register” button, the app hung and crashed.
  6. The only reason I knew that the registration went through was because I received three welcome emails. THREE.
  7. Once I logged in, it crashed again.
  8. The second time I logged in, I was able to get as far as clicking around to view a few other “Want” items from other users. But the second I hit “Add Want”, the app crashed again.
  9. In a last stitch attempt, I logged in to see if I could at least look around a little more…
  10. And then I realized that all of the location listed were in New York.

The app was made primarily for those people who live…in New York.

Fail.

There’s Hope for a Great Concept.

I mean, “Window Shopping” is a great concept.

Want! is similar to another “window shopping” app that I downloaded last year. But, I ended up deleting that app for the same reason. It was primarily for those users in Los Angeles. I’ll update when I remember the name.

You can create category-specific “Walls” to organize and display your wants.

You can add wants from other users to your “want walls”.

Want! allows you to click and visit the actual online store for the item.

If they really wanted to, they could figure out a way to leverage the redirect, and score some affiliate points.

Wish I could offer more of a review, but the registration and login process was a beast and I kind of lost interest.

message!

I tested this app on January 3rd, 2012. There could have been significant improvements to the registration made since then.

My “Lane F*cking Kiffin, Bro” shirt came the other day.

Although I haven’t worn it yet, it brought me much joy.

Lane Fucking Kiffin clothing is printed on American Apparel 2001 Unisex t-shirts. They are super comfortable and won’t get in the way of your killer beer pong stroke. American Apparel t-shirts are made in locally in Downtown Los Angeles just like the burritos at Chano’s. Whether you are slow rolling to the 9-0 or just posting up thick at Traddies, a high quality Lane Fucking Kiffin shirt will only enhance the quality of your unsanctionable life.

I think I’m going to buy the new one too.

Because “you can’t put sanctions on the f*cking endzone”.

No really… You can’t. Who DOES that?? Urgh.

Fight on, Trojans!

iD3sign & Co Custom T-Shirts

High Maintenance T-Shirt - iD3sign & Co
by Courtney Elizabeth · June 1, 2010 · Plugs, Reviews ·

I was happy to receive a package from iD3sign & Co. today.

It came in an iD3sign & Co. logo branded bag, which was kinda cool. I wish that I could have kept the bag, but through shipping, the ink that was used to print the logo started to flake off.

Seeing that it was printed on an American Apparel shirt, I knew that it would be a good quality tee. The concept of wearing the seams on the outside was a cool one. However, I wish that it was printed on the correct side, as opposed to inside out. If it was to be printed inside out, it could have been on a true tagless tee, in which the size and care are printed on the actual tee.

Overall, I think it’s a cool graphic tee and I look forward to seeing more work from iD3sign & Co.

by Courtney Elizabeth · March 26, 2010 · Plugs, Reviews, Shopping ·

My Throwboy Pillows finally arrived.

Like…last week sometime, but I hadn’t had a chance to upload photos.

My bad folks!

So here ya go…my custom made Throwboy Pillows.

I ordered them just before Christmas, knowing that it would take a month or so.

I think they’re really busy over there, which is understandable, because the pillows are really cute and squeezable.

Alright… that’s my plug for the day. Ciao!

I want one.
Gimme one.
I want one.

I saw a little boy wearing one that looked similar to this from last season’s line and I almost snatched it off his back. Too bad we were at a paint ball park and the little ninja had a gun that was bigger than mine.

*side eye*

I woulda snatched it…I swear I woulda.
What? What?
Whatcha gonna do?

If you didn’t know…
Now you know.

If you love someone, you buy them dinosaur chopsticks.

It’s a polite thing to do.
