My Throwboy Pillows Arrived!

by Courtney Elizabeth · March 26, 2010 · Plugs, Reviews, Shopping ·

My Throwboy Pillows finally arrived.

Like…last week sometime, but I hadn’t had a chance to upload photos.

My bad folks!

So here ya go…my custom made Throwboy Pillows.

I ordered them just before Christmas, knowing that it would take a month or so.

I think they’re really busy over there, which is understandable, because the pillows are really cute and squeezable.

Alright… that’s my plug for the day. Ciao!

Nichole Brought Me YogurtLand! OMG!

OKAY…so…today started off semi OK, and then went to sh*t when I realized that I had completely over extended myself.

( I’ve got too much going on this weekend, which means my next two days preparing are like…AAAAAAH! Jesus! )

But then…

Nichole came to my rescue with some Yogurt-Land Yozen Frogurt, and I can’t tell you how excited I was.

I was literally jumping up and down.

I love Yogurt-Land more than I love Pinkberry…and more than I love Top Ramen.

I know these last two posts are about food, but f*ck it.

Thank you so uber much, Nichole! <3

w00t w00t!

Just because I’m bourgeois doesn’t mean that I can’t eat Top Ramen.

Psht. I eat it with chopsticks…out of one of my bento sets.

I Love Top Ramen.

Sade on Ebony Cover – April 2010

by Courtney Elizabeth · March 2, 2010 · Music ·

And everywhere else for that matter…

She’s currently making her talk show rounds and she even recently appeared on the Wanda Sykes show.

I love this woman.

“Sade: Lets Her Hair Down” in Ebony’s April 2010 issue.

Since 1983, Sade has sold over 50 million records worldwide.

And I think I account for a good number of those records.

If you’re like me, you probably download MP3s all.the.time, but when it comes to your favorite artist, you always buy about 10 of the albums before/after you’ve finished downloading the mp3s.

That’s me for anything Sade or PM Dawn (shadup. don’t laugh.)

As of last week, Sade’s “Soldier of Love” (Epic) held at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart for a second week with sales of 190,000.

I love how she can take a decade sabbatical and come back stronger than any other artist on the planet.

My dad used to say that he was going to marry Sade…

My mom used to just smile, nod and roll her eyes…

I guess that’s what you do when you’re a “Soldier of Love“…

I’ll be buying 3 issues of Ebony April 2010.

*no…fa real*

I think I’m still on page 1 of Google for “Courtney”.

I had a minute of slippage when I took on a new strategy, but I think I figured out what the issue was.

And now that that’s fixed…

Bring on the good SEO changes!

Courtney Elizabeth Formspring me Ask Courtney Question 300x147 Formspring.me: What Possessed You to Sign Up?Formspring Question:

what possessed you to sign up for this thing?!

Answer:

As a Social Media Consultant, I think it’s my job to find out about the latest and greatest social media apps, websites, and API links. But I actually put my link out there because I was curious to know what people would ask.

After deleting a few questions…
I don’t think I’m curious anymore. lol.

With Formspring.me, you can send and receive anonymous questions, and learn more about people you find interesting by following their answers. Not only that, but you can connect to both Facebook and Twitter APIs to share your responses to the questions that were asked! This not only notifies the person that you responded, but also lets others know that you’re:

  1. Answering anonymously submitted questions
  2. Alerts those that may have had the same question to the answer of that question…
  3. Incites others to ask more questions

Definitely a great tool to have in your Social Media toolbox.

I am NOT my PC. I’m nicer.

Windows 7 Ultimate - Reinstall
by Courtney Elizabeth · February 4, 2010 · Girl Geek ·

I am NOT my PC. I’m nicer…because my PC was on that BULLSkee this week.

On Tuesday, it decided to FAIL when I uninstalled iTunes.

I had to uninstall iTunes because it was not sending my Nike+ iPod information to NikePlus.com.

#FAIL

Anyways, Wednesday rolled around and then my laptop decided to not boot up AT ALL. *eye roll*

So I spent a good majority of Wednesday trying to re-load Windows 7.

However, this time, I installed Windows 7 Ultimate. And THIS time, I actually hacked it to disable the Activation Check.
Luckily, I was able to backup all of my files while it was doing what it was doing, and I spent a few hours deleting the stuff in windows.old/ directory because not all of it had the Courtney Elizabeth permissions. *Damn you, TrustedInstaller*…

But … all seems to be better…

Now…lemme go find some wood to knock on.
