And I’m so happy/blessed to be able to spend it with people that I care about oh so much…
My dean got married this weekend and her wedding weekend started off with rehearsal on Friday…after which we had lunch at The Yard in Pomona. Later that night, we all met up to go hang out at Club Ivar. When I woke, I realized just how much of a lightweight, I really am. lol
Sunday afternoon, I headed back out to Pomona to handle my duties as a hostess….wait…THEE hostess…*snicker*
It was such a great wedding…two great people…blessed to have each other. That’s what it’s all about. God is good…all the time.

The Price is Wrong Bitch
I wore this shirt yesterday…
And forgot that I was wearing it…until I started getting weird looks…
Some folks even stopped and asked me where I got it from..
One lady just started laughing so much so that she let me get in front of her at Yozen Frogurt. *cabbage patch…running man…kid n play*
Final straw came when this dude stopped me and tried to strike up convo by starting with…”Hey, My mom was on that show…”
*eyeroll* *thiz face*
I love this shirt.

Everyone always asks me why I can’t stand MACs.
The truth is…they just don’t do it for me.
My days with the MAC extend all the way back to 1988. My dad was a computer engineer for the military *among other things* and was always working on 3-4 computers at a time from home. So there was always a computer around. Always something to touch and inspect. Always something to look inside of. Always something to help take apart.
I remember the computer fairs…every first Sunday of the month, we’d go down to the local community center to visit the computer fair. My favorite things to do was to hang out by the game tables. And if I was lucky, I’d get a box of 10 5.25 Floppy disks…sort of a grab bag if you will. It was always filled with games and 1 or 2 educational games. They were blue… I remember that. My dad would buy the blue colored floppy disks so that he could separate my games from his programs which were always on black colored floppy disks.

Sans the title… this seems like a great read…
I grabbed it at Marshall’s today for under $5.00…
I noticed it about 10 minutes after we had a conversation concerning the very subject…
RealtyTrac.com is your friend…And from what I can see, there’s LOTS of foreclosures. I remember a few months ago, Incog sent over an article on CNN about those people who were in foreclosure damaging the homes that they were leaving because they were so upset at the situation. Granted there were people who were nice enough to do any damage to the home when they left, but there were quite a few who weren’t that nice.
Watching House Hunters and My First Home makes me want to move down south or north…..or north east. Nothing is as bad as California is right now, other than NY.
I wonder how Barak is gonna affect the economy…
And how long it’s going to take…lol

Last night’s volleyball was great…
But I’ve got war wounds!
Broken blood vessels…soreness…
Ew.
oooooo…but it was some GREAT volleyball! lol….

I haven’t had that much fun on the court in years…
I’m excited for the new season, and the people…
It seems like there’s a great crowd. Turnout was 110 people and they were only expecting about half of that. Another thing I was happy about was the number of black folks! ha ha! I thought I was going to be the only one..*as usual*
So I’m sitting here today, drinking lots of water, and trying to make sure I stretch my arms every hour or so…As much as I hate them, I’m trying to get my squats in too. My quads are kickin my ass right now..
I plan on painting Munny a little more today…and just relaxing.

This is gonna be a good day.
I decided to start the acrylics on my DIY Munny Series 4 today.
I took the day off from myself…for myself…
In other words, I’m not going into the office, and I’m not transferring the 888 number to my cell. I refuse.
I’m going to chill and relax and just enjoy the day…
Painting Munny… Watching TV…and doing pretty much whatever I want.
I might however, glance at the project board every once in a while to make sure no one is jumping from any bridges or anything…
But other than that.
I’m taking a self imposed TIME OUT day.

It wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be…
I think I already had an Idea in my head…
It’s just a matter of getting the colors down…
I think I’ll start on colors tonight…
This weekend was pretty easy…and really quick.
I almost wish that I had a do over.
We got up to Season 4 Disc 3 of The Wire.
This show is addicting…
Since this week is the first it’ll definitely be hectic…so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to put any blog posts together…
But I will be posting to flickr .

Bentley’s Labor Day
Bentley spent most of this morning lounging around and being a puppy.
It’s one of the very rare moments where he’s sitting around and not bouncing off the walls. Damn those hyperactive yorkies. oy.
I don’t have anything planned for today.
Primarily because I spent so much cash on Saturday, I’m trying to lay low and relax, and not spend so much. Top that off…I know this week will be hectic. The first week of the month is usually a crazy one at the office, so I think I’ll just enjoy the downtime now…in preparation for tomorrow.
