Overworked.

Overworked.
by Courtney Elizabeth · September 12, 2011 · Life ·

I want to updated more.

Believe me; I do.

I’m still here, but I’m working non-stop on client projects, so I barely have enough time for my own.

My goal for my birthday month, October, is to update at least once a week.

I think I can pull that off. (a ha!)

Wisdom Teeth Fantasies

by Courtney Elizabeth · March 23, 2011 · Life ·

I had my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. Since then, I’ve pretty much only been eating apple sauce and soft serve ice cream. #facepalm

And this has led me to craving a whole bunch of madness that I have absolutely no business craving, whether my teeth were pulled or not.

Like…

Goobers – from the movie theatre
Harry & David’s Moose Munch – bougie Crunch n’ Munch
Nerds – you know, the Willy Wonka candy
Popeye’s Biscuits
Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits
PopSecret Homestyle Popcorn
Tumby’s Pizza
Toffee covered peanuts – gas station kind
Cheetos
…among other crap.

So this will serve as my hitlist.

The moment I realize that I can eat hard foods again, I’m going on a gat-damn shopping spree.

Catch me.

MLK Day 2011

Just thought I’d share my favorite Martin Luther King Quote…

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” — From “Strength to Love”.

Have a great week, folks!

Stepping Out On Faith

live-by-faith-not-by-sight
by Courtney Elizabeth · January 10, 2011 · Life ·

I fear the unknown.

Letting go, and letting God do what He does has always been the hardest thing for me. Whether it’s business or personal, I’m a worrier. I admit it. It’s true. I worry about everything and pretty much everyone who is important to me.

After talking with a friend today, I realized that I’ve been holding back lately…and I don’t want to do that anymore. That’s not what I want for 2011.

So, once again, I’m stepping out on faith…and attempting to “live by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) “.

It’s gonna be a great year. I have faith that it will be.

24 Hour Fitness Goes Digital – Cardless Check-In

I love it when businesses find ways to be more efficient by going digital.

Yesterday, when we got to 24 hour fitness, they asked if we wanted to register for “Cardless Check-In“. I couldn’t be happier. You see, I ALWAYS forget my card. ALWAYS. To the point now, that I prepare and just take my Driver’s License in with me so that I can give them my phone number to check me in instead. It’s pretty pitiful.

But now, I don’t have to do that anymore. SCORE!

Yes, we still need it at clubs that don’t offer Cardless Check-In yet, but the ones that I go to… DO. And all clubs are slated to have the Cardless Check-In by the end of 2010.

All you have to do is scan your index finger and punch in your favorite 10-digit ID (pick your own), and we’re checked in!

  • No more waiting for someone who’s talking on the phone to figure out how to multi-task!
  • No more super long line of folks who just got off work!
  • No more having to search through the car / truck for ID cards!
  • And if you’re a “Greenie”…no more wasting paper!

Remember Me

I marked today in my calendar…
For personal reasons…
I want to remember today…
Because, I refuse to feel this way again.

Remember me.

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is today…

And all of the Mother’s Day advertising / coupon deals are in full effect. A lot of companies are using social networking to market their Mother’s Day deals. A lot were really great and on point. Sprinkles Cupcakes is having a wonderful deal on “Mom” cupcakes…

I’m not a mom…but I want a gatdamn cupcake. I can scrape off the letters after I get my discount.

Anyways, this one made me “a tee hee” a little bit…

 Mothers Day

And it had me coming up with catchy slogans, like:

1. Come get your mom lit up at the Paintball Park!
2. Show your mom how much you care by pummeling her with some hard ass paintballs!
3. Hate your mom’s new wig? (can be substituted for “breast implants” – results may vary)

*Dear Paintball Parks – Please request permission before using my slogans. They’re copy written. I WILL find you. (wink) *

Happy Mothers Day to my mom and all the mommies out there. <3
