Have you ever set a goal so high, you never know if you’ll actually reach it?

A goal so high, that even when you talk about people think that you’re trippin’ or maybe even…as high as that goal?

I remember when I was little…I used to ask my mother a question about 50-11 times until she gave me my desired result, or until I had figured out an alternative that was equally pleasing. If asking face to face didnt work, I was resigned to sliding notes casually under the bathroom door, leaving notes in her purse…under her pillow…on her bedroom door…

I was relentless.

I hope that I can continue to be that way in business…and in life in general…

Kierra “Kiki” Sheard

I know I’ve said to you over and over
I’m going to get it together sooner or later.
You told me I had to do something so when I said I’ll do better. (oo yeah)
And you even said if you do this I’ll do that.
And I told you I was moving on and I was right back in my situation which led me to complications.

Oooh I know, I know.

Chorus:
I know. I know. I made a promise. It may have seemed like jiberish. Please hear this. Lord, I’m relentless.

(O Lord Please.)
Hear this. (Please)
Hear this. (Please)
Hear this. (oh Please)
Oh Hear this.
Hear this. (Yeah)
Lord, I’m relentless.

I’ve even said, “Please, never leave me!”
And I meant that seriously, Lord, accept my plea. (Yeah)
Lord, I’m crying out to you. (oooh)
Because without you I dont know what I would doooo.
And I know.

Chorus

Lord I’m sorry for
For the things that I’ve done
For the disappointments
And for my disobedience
Ooh I’m sorry Lord.
Oh Lord
Please forgive me
Never leave me
Cause I made mistakes and I know that you’re the only way.

And I know.

Chorus.

I was sitting here, just thinking about how good things are right now and how God works in mysterious ways…I have nothing to complain about. It’s all smiles here.

CourtneyElizabeth.com will be 5 years old on June 5th…and wow what a whirl wind this domain name has been through! I hope to keep this blog up for another 5 years. :)

After I left the office today, I headed to the gym and put in 1 hour on the elliptical and a good 30 minutes on the cycle. I’ll be starting cycle class again soon and I want to make sure that my body is conditioned for it again. I love it, I love it, I love it! All the posers in the gym wear ‘SC gear…lol..I need to buy some USC Alumni work out gear…lol. Eh well, at least they’re fans. a tee hee…

Tonight, I made tacos with extra lean ground turkey meat…tomatoes and lettuce *for incog*…and they were so good…but portion control is the key! Filled up with water and orange juice and I’m good to go for another 2 hours until I can grab some applesauce to keep the metabo up. Over in her neck of the woods, Christal made “spasketti” tonight…I need to steal her recipe since Incog wont give me his. *mental note*

Okay, gonna go finish watching the game con Incog.

Cheers!

Ciao!

Update: So I’ve finished perusing blogs, and now I’m watching College Hill. I’ve been watching it since it started and I can honestly say that I CAN NOT stand this Drew guy…at all. Like not even a little bit. Ever.
The end.

May 18th, 2008 Theme Update - Minimalism 6 Comments

If you’re close to me, you know that lately, I’ve been trying to make things in my life…a little more … simple.

I’ve been consolidating and getting rid of the things that I don’t necessarily need.

So, I decided to reflect this in my blog theme as well. Hopefully it will also decrease the load time as well.

Anyways…this weekend was pretty cool.

We participated in the 5k UNCF Los Angeles Walk For Education around our Alma Mater (USC) & Exposition Park. It was great to be able to get out and hang… La Shia and I finished 11th in the run. But I promise my ankle was dying on the last mile. While crossing Exposition, I twisted my ankle on the uneven street…but I kept running on it anyways. The only thing I was thinking was… “Don’t swell. Please …just…don’t swell before I finish.” And it didn’t. It waited until I got back to Christal’s house… a ha. :(

But definitely fun to do…

Christal and I spent the afternoon talking and hanging out. Love you. Mean it.

Today, we went to church as usual…and after, we caught up on The Ultimate Fighter. I love that show. I caught up on Keeping Up with the Kardashians too…lol

Welp…I’m gonna grab some water and head to bed. I have a dentist appointment tomorrow that I’m not super excited about. I already know they’re going to tell me that I need to have a tooth pulled. Urgh.

I was tagged a few weeks ago…and I’m slow so bare with me as I try to catch up…lol

1. link the person who tagged you… Sheita

2. mention the rules in your blog… oh…just copy these (1-5)

3. tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours

I like to keep the refrigerator as clean as possible. So much so that I’ll put the gallon of milk on a plastic plate so that it doesnt leave a puddle on the clear shelf.

I like drinking lots of water before I go to sleep.

I tend to go to my office wearing gym clothes so that I dont have an excuse not to go when I leave.

I can remember numbers, but I can’t put names with faces to save my life, let alone remember names.

Whenever I check the mail, if there’s nothing exciting…I tend to leave it in the mailbox for a few days…

4. tag 6 following bloggers by linking them

Rece, Inga, A.dot, Golden, I’m too tired to find someone else who hasnt done it yet…and if you have, and I tagged you?…..OOPS.

5. leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged

Done.

Alright…sleep tight. Hope you enjoy the new look.

Stay Blessed.
