Do You Remember ALF?

ALF-on-DVD
by Courtney Elizabeth · March 28, 2010 · Shopping ·

Do you remember ALF? It was such a great 80s sitcom. Sitcoms today just aren’t the same.
As a kid, I used to love watching ALF on TV. It was one of those shows I used to get excited about. Too bad it didn’t last as long as The Cosby Show.

Anyways, I saw it on some random channel as i was flipping last week and thought it’d be great if I had the actual DVD set. I went ahead and purchased ALF – Season One Do You Remember ALF? and ALF – Season Two Do You Remember ALF?
and it arrived in 3 days. ^_^

I think I’ll leave them in their wrappers and just watch the Torrents.

Once I get through these, I’ll buy Season 3 and Season 4. Ha!

You know you want it:

Menchies Frozen Yogurt

Menchies Frozen Yogurt - Valley Village, CA
by Courtney Elizabeth · March 28, 2010 · Foodie ·

Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt is perfect for the creative foodie who loves mixing and matching their favorite yogurt flavors and toppings.

On a quest to find a new frozen yogurt place this weekend, we found Menchie’s on Yelp!

And now, I love this Frozen Yogurt chain! I’m discovering that it’s pretty much ALL OVER the San Fernando Valley. Not only that, but it’s my favorite type of frozen yogurt chain: the kind where you can mix and match yourself!

After falling in love with Yogurtland last year, I realized that frozen yogurt was that sweet treat I needed at night that didn’t make me feel so bad about having a sweet tooth…on a diet.

Not many frozen yogurt chains allow you to mix and match your own. I think it’s a winning combination to get both kids and adults in the door. They’ve got fresh fruit for the health conscious and fruit lovers, and they’ve got reeses and butterfinger crumbs for the junk conscious.

Winner!

My Throwboy Pillows Arrived!

by Courtney Elizabeth · March 26, 2010 · Plugs, Reviews, Shopping ·

My Throwboy Pillows finally arrived.

Like…last week sometime, but I hadn’t had a chance to upload photos.

My bad folks!

So here ya go…my custom made Throwboy Pillows.

I ordered them just before Christmas, knowing that it would take a month or so.

I think they’re really busy over there, which is understandable, because the pillows are really cute and squeezable.

Alright… that’s my plug for the day. Ciao!

Nichole Brought Me YogurtLand! OMG!

OKAY…so…today started off semi OK, and then went to sh*t when I realized that I had completely over extended myself.

( I’ve got too much going on this weekend, which means my next two days preparing are like…AAAAAAH! Jesus! )

But then…

Nichole came to my rescue with some Yogurt-Land Yozen Frogurt, and I can’t tell you how excited I was.

I was literally jumping up and down.

I love Yogurt-Land more than I love Pinkberry…and more than I love Top Ramen.

I know these last two posts are about food, but f*ck it.

Thank you so uber much, Nichole! <3

Just because I’m bourgeois doesn’t mean that I can’t eat Top Ramen.

Psht. I eat it with chopsticks…out of one of my bento sets.

I Love Top Ramen.

Sade on Ebony Cover – April 2010

by Courtney Elizabeth · March 2, 2010 · Music ·

And everywhere else for that matter…

She’s currently making her talk show rounds and she even recently appeared on the Wanda Sykes show.

I love this woman.

“Sade: Lets Her Hair Down” in Ebony’s April 2010 issue.

Since 1983, Sade has sold over 50 million records worldwide.

And I think I account for a good number of those records.

If you’re like me, you probably download MP3s all.the.time, but when it comes to your favorite artist, you always buy about 10 of the albums before/after you’ve finished downloading the mp3s.

That’s me for anything Sade or PM Dawn (shadup. don’t laugh.)

As of last week, Sade’s “Soldier of Love” (Epic) held at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart for a second week with sales of 190,000.

I love how she can take a decade sabbatical and come back stronger than any other artist on the planet.

My dad used to say that he was going to marry Sade…

My mom used to just smile, nod and roll her eyes…

I guess that’s what you do when you’re a “Soldier of Love“…

I’ll be buying 3 issues of Ebony April 2010.
