Wow I thought I was the only one. I hate MAC and Apple computers and I so a PC girl and Microsoft all the way. I don’t know what it is, it just seems more like a trend to me.

I love Macs probably because I don't write code, I outsource. WOW, I had a C64… and I remember Carmen and Oregon…. the Apple II version was much better than the DOS one!

FYI we have text edit! text edit owns notepad!

and I use wordpress, php-nuke, wikis, and other weird CMS’s just fine… who ever your teaching just doesnt know how to use the operating system.

The only time I use windows is to check internet explorer version of sites I code.

Its funny that when microsoft made IE for the MAC it FAILED… but iTunes and Safari are like the number one free 3-party programs…

I have to agree I dislike MAC's as well. I am a hand-coder preferred as well but that probally has a lot to do with the fact I do A LOT of Javascript coding/editing too. LOL, I got a check out of reading this post and you know what’s funny… Carmen San Diego was our first educational games too and my first computer was a MAC desktop with a 10 screen LOL.

Yeah, I don’t see what the big deal with MACs are. I guess I got to work on one to feel what everyone else is feeling -shrugs-

i never liked front page. microsoft always snuck those extra lines of code into your html. hated that.

Sup CE! Your strong preference towards hand-coding is understandable considering your roots. I did an assignment for school where I talked about the different categories of “techies” as I saw them. Compared to yourself and others that came in at the ground level of personal computing, I came in at something rude like the 34th floor…LOL! I don’t have strong ties to any one method of doing anything. In the assignment I mention, I actually see a long and storied experience with the PC as a potential hinderance. If there’s one thing our industry requires, it’s the ability to embrace change. Not saying you don’t or can’t, but I’d love to have a longer discussion with you (and whomever is interested) about the state of personal computing, design, and technology as it relates to US in general.

Oh, as if you dont’ hear it enough, keep up the good work!…It’s essential to those behind you: women, women of color, people of color, and aspiring entrpeneurs in general to see that excellence is indeep attainable. Even if only released as waste or on a t-shirt
