Well, i finally created a FREE php script. lol. I’m so used to charging for scripts, that I thought it was about time that I created a free one. :surprised:

WishList 1.0

This script will allow you to create a simple wishlist to track your wishes. It allows you to link to an image, link to the actual purchase page, and list the status of the wish.

Sample Inclusion in WP:

Yep….flew to New York and got back Wednesday Night….been kind of a hectic few weeks….

Who knew I could be that chipper at 8am.

UPDATE ON: That Little F0cker – I got my $50 refund. I guess it was “the best they could do”…so Im not really complaining anymore. But I WILL be telling everyone I know about their little scam.

Anyhow…New York was a lot of fun…had my share of alchy and desserts on my down time from work. We didnt have time to explore the city because we were in Albany, but it’s okay because that means I’ll still be able to experience it w/ Incog one day.

Guess what showed up on my credit card today? :shocked:
I’m so HEATED, I cant even contain myself.:pissed:

I called the company again *since i havent heard from the owner since that day*…I spoke with one of his flunkies, who told me that theyd “Call him right now, I mean…tell him when he gets here”. SMH. My response? “Get your story straight. And let him know that I’ve already started my complaint with the BBB, and that I’ll be calling my card company once the payment clears so that I can dispute it. It would behoove him to call me back right away. *Click*”

A few minutes later *like i knew he would once he heard BBB*, DANNY FROM REGAL CARPET calls me and tells me that they havent charged my card yet; BS, because i already called WAMU and verified.

He tells me “No, the guy’s explaination doesnt make sense, but he went out of his way to go there the next day”. BS: He could have done the work he did the second day…THE FIRST DAY. He just wanted to be able to charge more.

He tells me “well, like i said…im only going to charge you $100 for the work. It takes 30 seconds to make the change”. BS: I was quoted $90.00 for the work originally.

When I asked him why it’s $10.00 more? He said “Because the guy was courteous to come back the next day”. BS: COURTEOUS??? You’ve GOT to be kidding me.

SMH. In doing my research I’ve found that this company has had 6 other claims against them through the BBB, check it out. I should have researched them before…but who woulda thought that they would have been so SHADY!

In my quest to rate them poorly on EVERY WEBSEARCH SERVICE I could find *f0ck em. they shouldnt have charged my card.*, I also found out even MORE information.Their Location Info

After calling WAMU, and filing the claim with BBB…I think I’m just OVER this whole situation. There are a lot of things that I would change. :uhh:

1) I would have walked away when that guy walked in and tried to tell me it would be more than was quoted over the phone. I could have easily called someone else and saved myself the stress and drama.

2) I would have gone with Good ol’ Stanley Steamer. Sometimes tryna save a few bucks ends up costing you WAY more in the end.

3) Look at the contract more carefully. I really didnt notice the $140.00 instead of $90.00 or the fact that he neglected to put “Truck Mounted”…or the fact that he put 3 bedrooms instead of Living Room, and Dining Room. :shocked:

Tell everyone you know…DONT F0CK WITH REGAL CARPET IN CANOGA PARK, CA. They’ll do ya dirty! And they should NOT be allowed to treat people that way.

Bait and Switch Like a Mofo…I told you that I had my carpet cleaned yesterday…and that I had forgot to find out what I was charged…well, here’s the full story.

I called this carpet cleaning company “REGAL CARPET CLEANING” on MONDAY. They quoted me $100 and told me that a guy would be here TUESDAY. TUESDAY, the guy shows up late and says that the cord (the equipment is truck mounted) wont reach and that he needs another guy to help him and that they were gong to use portable machines and come back the next day…And because of all this, it’s going to cost me $140.00. *God, Why didnt I just walk away then? Why didnt I just say, “No, Thank you”, and call another company*

So he shows up WEDNESDAY, late and by himself…with the same damn truck and does the work that I was quoted for originally and STILL charges me $140.00. :shocked: I didnt realize until later last night when I got home and had a chance to look over the paperwork. I called the company immediately, but obviously no one was there, so i left a message with their answering service people. :thumbsdown:

The more I sat here…and thought about this….the more upset I got.
1) He overcharged me for work that he could have done the FIRST day he came.
2) He got here, did the hookup to the truck and then sat on the phone outside on my balcony for 10 minutes before he started.
3) IIIIIIIII had to move all my shit! He asked me to help him by moving chairs. If I have to help you to do your work, you should NOT be overcharging. :pissed:

It’s funny how you think of all the things that you shrugged off, when someone does you dirty as hell. I should have sat on this couch and not budged a muscle when he asked if i could move all the chairs. I should have asked him if he needed assistance locating his magic cleaning wand when he was outside on the balcony big choppin it up. BottomLine: I should have just said “No, Thank you”, and called another company.

So…I called the company again this morning, once the clock hit. The lady told me she’d have one of the owners call me back. Once he did, he gave me the run around, asking me: if im SURE “the guy didnt say that he was charging me more because of the condition of the carpet”…like I’m BOO BOO the FOOL. :shocked:

My response: “Don’t play like this is about the condition of the carpet. The whole reason the guy said he had to come back the next day was to bring another guy with him, and to use a portable machine. He came back the next day and he didnt even use the portable and he was BY HIM-SELF.” :uhh:

So…he’s supposedly going to call me back with the guy on the line so that we can discuss it on speakerphone. We’ll see…pray for my sanity. :uhh:

The morning started off kinda fugly….but I read this post: FaithInFlorida , and it made me smile again.

How much is Louisiana’s Budget this year….in comparison to last year…
But…I can’t find it. This must be a conspiracy.

In any case, I decided to do my Case Study on Renton, WA. Dont ask me why. I wont tell you. :mouthshut:

The Public Works division of their budget is close to 7 million dollars! :thumbsup: Geesh. I mean, more work for me…but yay for their city. It seems like their really building up.

I never thought I’d like this class, but it’s growing on me. :blush: You know by now that I hate numbers, unless it’s the ones in my bank account and they’re fairly high. I dont like those little measly penny like numbers…with the decimals.:thumbsdown: Give me the big numbers, with the commas. :thumbsup:

I’m glad it’s Wednesday, becuase it’s one day closer to Friday…and we have a 3 Day Weekend…WOO WOO! :woohoo: Got a lot planned this weekend, I’ll fill you in once the weekend is over being that I’ll probably be shot and stabbed if I talk about it.

The carpet cleaning people came and cleaned my carpet FINALLY! I wonder how much they’re gonna charge me. I was so excited to have it done, that I forgot to ask him how much the final charge was. :uhh:

God’s been really blessing me lately…I’m excited to see what else He has in store for little old me. :tearsjoy:

I keep trying to find reasons to keep me in these last four classes this semester. I keep trying to tell myself that if I can just knock it all out and be done, then I should just do it and get it over with. But it doesnt seem to be that easy.

Maybe I’m tired, and my professor’s rant on the Declaration of Independence is just really killing my spirit. Isn’t it ironic?

I thought the vending machine would give me some mercy, but I only had a $5.00 bill….and it ate it. :wtf:

My stomach is growling. And all I can think about is…what my mom’s cooking for dinner tomorrow night. Better yet, what is incog cooking for dinner tonight. I can taste it now…

I guess you just have to look at the bigger picture…finishing these last 4 classes means that the only thing i have left is the Comp. *comprehensive exam* and the Comp class which is just a review of everything. Then i’ll be done, and I can have my night life back…I miss being able to stretch out after work and do absolutely nothing. I miss coming home and posting about my day. I guess it’ll be over soon enough… But….can you believe I’m considering my PHD? That’s 6 more YEARS! Not classes….:wtf:

We’ve got a few more minutes and we’ll be let go for the evening. I will be running to Lexi. Me and her have a date with a 5 minute drive, a 1 minute parking scheme, and an elaborate dash to the restroom. After which, I plan to lay in the middle of the living room floor…yep……that’s the plan.
