Welp, as promised…I started work on UrbanWeblogs.com.
Coley and I first considered having a place where Cali Bloggers could login and meet other Cali Bloggers…but the pull wasnt that strong…Well it was strong, but not strong enough for me to feel as if I should spend hours coding a website for Cali EXCLUSIVELY. :uhh: Truth is, I woulda been PISSED :pissed: if I had spent HOURS away from my honey bunny and not really had a lot of people using it……SOOOO
I talked it over with Coley and we’ve decided to EXPAND it. So it’s not just for CALI Bloggers….it’s for UrbanBloggers everywhere.
You’re able to signup/login and post your pic with your blog and information about it. So people can search by state, category or even name if they wanted to, in order to find your blog amongst other urban bloggers. :thumbsup:

The weekend went pretty smoothly…Court’s tummy hurts….*yeah, i know…third person….WHATEVER*. :fever: To tell the truth, I dont even feel like going in to work tomorrow…but I guess I need to pay my bills..:sick:…*sigh*….
On Saturday, we went to go see “40 Year Old Virgin” and “The Skeleton Key”.
Good movie, I’d definately recommend it…and I’ll probably buy it on DVD. It was HIGH-LARIOUS.
There were some scenes that I had to cover my eyes….I was SCURRED. :hissy: I didnt really understand what it was about in the previews, but Movie Hopping is the lick and it WAS right across from “40 Year Old Virgin”…sooooooo…..WHY NOT? :surprised: Did I mention I was SCURRED? Yeah….I was…..It was just…too much for little old impressionable me. I wont be buying it or renting it or watching it again….had Incog not been there, I woulda had nightmares….It’s just one of the CREEPY movies that makes you THINK TOO MUCH after it’s over. Movies like that make you wanna just go home and PRAY. :pray: I kid you NOT, I was praying all the way to the car, and all the way home….
Earlier on Saturday, I was able to go to the Post Office and pick up my RockStar Tees….FINALLY. They’re super cute, think I’ll wear one tomorrow….
Before going to the post office on Saturday, we stopped by CSUNorthridge so we could pick up some course catalogs and information on Graduate Studies and Teaching Credentials…..MAN is all that stuff confusing. :pissed: But anyways, I found out that I can take classes without being enrolled and then once I get in, just use those units and apply them towards the Graduate Degree. I’ve decided to just go ahead and wait anyways though until I get my GRE scores. :thumbsup: I’m waivering on whether or not I want to get my MS in Computer Science or Consumer Studies…if they had a Human Resources Graduate Program, I would definately be doing that, but alas, they dont…so I’m going to have to find an alternative. :surprised:

MMMM…..yummy and smooth…..yesterday, I stopped downstairs to get a “Strawberry Blondie”….and BOY was I excited….I could just taste it….all smooth and tasty……with extra whipped cream on the top…..I thought I had found it; the replacement to my strawberry smoothie with Boba from my old job. I think you remember it. It was the subject of MANY a post on this website. As she mixed the frozen yogurt and crisp strawberries that were oh so fresh and ripe….I could just taste it. She couldnt be done soon enough….:yummy:
And the way it tasted….OMG. :cloud9: The heavens opened up and wrapped me in soft strawberry frothy pillows….mmmmmmm…….
And then I woke up.
What the HELL was I dreaming about?
All the while I was imagining my Strawberry Smoothie, I had SUCKED DOWN some type of STRANGE ASS CONCOCTION…
Nevermind the fact that the wench behind the counter didnt know what was supposed to be IN the smoothie….
Nevermind the fact that she ignored my request for NO BANANAS.
Nevermind the fact that EVERYTHING was frozen and packaged easily for her to grab in a hurry *I guess that’s how they do it these days*…..EVEN THE FROZEN ORANGE JUICE came neatly wrapped in a little FROZEN pouch.

In light of my studying and cramming *ONCE AGAIN*, I’ve decided to find some type of inspiration. And I’ve found him in a Mr. Potato Head. I’d never had one as a child, so I decided to hop on Amazon and find one….but I couldnt…they didnt have any..So a coworker of mine who used to work for Shopzilla.com found one for me. :thumbsup:

Somehow, i cant help but be a little flustered. :pissed: Just like the SATs held the key to getting into USC, the GRE holds the key into getting into a good Masters program. God, if it could only be EASIER. As simple as it SOUNDS *get a good grade, apply*, the GRE doesnt seem that easy. I’ve bought books, *e-books, and bound books*….registered on websites *practice tests, and daily notes*….and now i’m feeling like, maybe I should just….
GIVE UP. :uhh: I’m PRAYING that the test will be easier than these practice tests I’m doing…:pray:…I DO have a month and some change right? *sigh*
But I cant, because I know that a Master will help me to secure higher positions, and more money. CHA-CHING. :thumbsup:
So….I ask….have you taken the GRE? When did you take it? Was it hard? How many times did you take it? How well did you do? Did you get in to the school that you wanted to?
Pray that I get through this…with a score good enough to get in…

Today…I went to the gym…
As i walked in to the gym, i was greeted by staff who now know me as “CE” since one of them decided to play detective and look me up on the internet…*waving*…I like Sunday training sessions because it means there will be less people there and it’s a lot quieter…
Anyhow, I walked over to the admin office, said hello to everyone, and asked my trainer where he wanted me to start. And of course, he said Cardio….WOO HOO! :duh: So i walked out of the office and over to the set of *almost empty* treadmills. There was one being occupied by a black man who was bopping his head something vicious…if it wasnt Ludacris :thumbsup:, it was probably 50 cent :thumbsdown: blaring in his headset. The machine i chose was on the end…away from the black man who was now starting to hum….It was a quiet little spot…..i liked it…I added some incline, set my speed to a low 2 and prepared to get my heartrate up…and then all of a sudden a black man comes up behind me…he has a thick accent…very definitive…..
Man: 2, 4, 24…we’re gonna get you going…2 minutes walk, 4 minutes jog, 24 minutes run……
Me: *turning around thinking “Is this man talking to ME?”*
Man: Yep….2,4,24
Me: Me?
Man: Yep….2,4,24…come on…do it…let’s go…
Me: Are you serious? *looking around for my trainer who I could see through the huge glass windowed office*
Man: Sure am….come on……let’s go….
Me: *looking at my panel…* I just got here…..*looking at his shirt franticly to see if it had a Bally’s Logo*
Man: So? We’re gonna do it…..this is how i get to 26 miles a day….I stay in shape…come on….
Me: *thinking – “maybe if i just ignore him” *
Man: *reaches across the two metal bars that seperated my machine from his*:crowded:
Me: Is he really gonna…..:pissed:
Man: *increases the incline*
Me: He cant really be….:pissed:
Man: *increases the speed*
Me: HOLD UP….*flies backwards off the machine*…
At this point…..my trainer comes out and asks me if i’m okay….I look at him like “NIGGA WHERE WERE YOU??” Meanwhile, the crazy black man increases his OWN speed to sprint….:wtf:
Me: I’M DONE…NEXT MACHINE, PLEASE….I’M COOL….*shaking hand and head – thinking :wtf: just happened here??*
Needless to say…Don’t TOUCH My Treadmill. It’s NOT nice.

On the way home from work yesterday i noticed the ever increasing slowness as i attempted to board the 405 north, prepared for my 45 minute 5 o’clock drive home. It wasnt any slower than normal…so i wasnt alarmed…i just turned up the music and prepared to let my body do the driving while my brain drifted off in daydreams…
As i got closer…i could finally see it…
There was an Asian man who was dressed to the nines in his pinstripe suit and $300 shoes in the middle of the freeway holding up his right hand, and pushing a car with his left. His right hand was up to let other drivers on the freeway know to STOP. Not to drive. There was another hispanic man pushing the car on the inside of the driver’s side door….and another man…..a white man trying to get the car started on the inside.
The lady behind me was honking like crazy…if only she could see what i could see. Or maybe she could. She was in a Suburban, much higher than my car…she could definately see above me. Maybe….
she just didnt care.
As they struggled to push the car to the right shoulder, cars continued to drive and maneuver their ways around them as if to say, “sorry, but OUR cars work just fine”. I could only sit still and think…
What if that was me? What if i didnt have AAA to tow me somewhere? What if i was stranded without a cell phone? What if i was in the MIDDLE LANE of the 405 FREEWAY during RUSHHOUR without gas?
So i waited….until the car and the men who had literally RISKED THEIR LIVES …*because YES, the405 IS a risk.*.. had made it safely across to the right side.
The Asian man in his pinstripes slowly put his hand down and ran TOWARDS oncoming traffic TOWARDS his car which he had STOPPED and PARKED in the middle of the FREEWAY to help the man whose car was stuck. It wasnt as if the rest of the cars were still stopped….they had JUST realized that the road ahead was FREE and CLEAR for the next 1 MILE. Just one……ONLY 1 MILE. But it didnt matter to them that a man was trying to get to his car after doing a good deed…..the 405 had 1 MILE that was FREE of traffic and they were going to make it through. But i sat….and I thought…
What if I had risked my life to help someone and couldnt get back to MY car? What if I had stopped to help someone and noone wanted to help ME?
The truth is….I can only PRAY that someone would be as kind as to help ME the way the ASIAN man, in his pinstriped suit on his way home from work, stopped to help the white man. I can only PRAY that someone would be as kind as to help ME the way the Hispanic man, on his way home from a hard day of work, stopped to help the white man. And NO, this isnt about RACE…..this is about PEOPLE. I can only PRAY that someone/anyone would be as kind as to help ME the way those two men, helped that one man.
Think about it…..

We went to my mom’s house this weekend and it was perty darn good. First we went to Home Depot because my mom wanted a saw….yeah I said it. 
She’s been buying furniture like crazy since we painted her wall….and now she wants to saw down her old tv stand. Jesus Mother Mary and Joseph on the cross :typing: Anyhow, we ended up going to Red Lobster for lunch. I took a picture of the bisquit, but uhh…..i’ll NOT post it today. But let’s just say it was perty darn tasty….:cloud9: After that, we went back to the house for a while…I was extra sleepy and feeling kinda sick for some reason…..we’ll add grouchy to that list. :fever: So when we got home, i ate my Raisin Bran Crunch and then headed to bed because i was convinced my brain was going to pound through my head.
Sunday went pretty smoothly. I woke up and watched “Anacondas” and ” The Edge” ….then it was back in the gym for the first workout/training session of the week. It was a ROUGH session…but it was good because I’m used to the movements now. After that, I was off to Target to get a mop because i was tired of looking at the scuff marks on the kitchen floor….between my tennie runners and incog’s nikes – the floor was looking ATROCIOUS. So, that was my plan for the day…mop and sleep. I picked up some other things while i was there and headed home to get my clean on. :thumbsup:
After I was done cleaning, my head was pounding again….so i kinda just layed down in the middle of the living room floor watching “Sex in the City” on HBO on Demand. I still havent decided if i want to keep it yet. We have until Friday to decide. Anyhow, i did some graphic work and started watching my VH1 Sunday shows….Surreal Life, Hogan Knows Best, Celebrity Fit Club 2. I felt so bad for Tocarra because it seemed like she was really trying and they just kicked her off the team. :thumbsdown: seeing a whole new side of Jacke’ Harry……
Anyhow, here’s hoping the day goes by extra quick …everyone already seems to be calling in sick…*giggle*…
Maybe i should have gone with my first notion.
