Mornin ya’ll!
Got my stuff from UPS yesterday! Finally…cute *yet too big* sweat suit from USC’s Trojan Bookstore. I still havent gotten my necklace yet. It’s the same one shown above only it says Courtney. *cheese*
One more day and we’ll all be home free for the next three days…lol…..any plans for the 4th of July? I dun have any yet, but we’ll see…..I’m pretty broke as it is….I went and got my nails and eyebrows and pedicure yesterday…*two week ritual*, but I had the most horrid experience with the guy who was doing my nails. He was like the son of the owners…and i already have reservations about men doing my nails already…but i was in a rush and didnt feel like trying to explainor argue.

Now ladies, when you go and get a full set, you know that they press down on the side of your nails *cuticles* to seperate the skin and the nail *cause of the glue*, but this dude, had an extra long thumbnail and it was HURTING. I was like, OUCH that hurts….and he says, “dat hurt?”, and i said, “YES”…and why does he do it again on the next nail. So i’m sittin here now and it hurts to type using certain fingers cause this “nikka” has messed up my cuticles. :wtf: And then had the nerve to ask if i wanted to put a tip on my credit card before he ran it…*blank stare* yeah…..here’s a tip, “OUCH MEANS STOP”.

So after my great nail shop experience, I browsed the mall for a while. Had a great convo with Daniel @ Guess…..he knows his stuff…lol…so i left there and hit up Express and Bakers. When i was in Bakers i saw the cutest black suede guess tennies ever….they had a silver engraved “buckle” on the top……i had to have them, but they didnt have my size anymore. :hissy: So i ran back to Guess to talk to Daniel and find out if he knew anything. He told me to checkout the website, so i did…and they werent there. Top it off….i cant find them ANYWHERE. I’ve searched through many online sites….every shoe site seemed to lead to zappos.com. :hissy:

Anyhow, dinner at Fridays was nice…I had a really good time. It was really good to see a group of minorities celebrating their High School graduation with their parents….gives me hope for the future. However, there was one little bad ass who needed to be WOOPED. He was making all kinds of extra non-necessary noise at the table behind us, just to get some attention. They were in a big group and his other brother was getting more attention. So after a while, his dad stands up and is like, “do you want me to take you outside?” And he’s like, “no!”. ….Nikka, of COURSE he doesnt want you to take him outside…lol….Grab him by the ears and get to goin already! lol Eventually he stopped crying and started playin around…running back and forth to the bathroom. Their waitress looked stressed. If it was me, he would been sittin in the car waitin for me to finish my dinner, AFTER he got spanked and smacked around a few times. :thumbsup:

Hopefully, I’ll have something to do for the 4th soon….what do you guys have planned?

Can you believe it’s Wednesday already? wow…week is flyin by…..good thing…going to Universal Studios on Saturday *as a regular visitor this time*. When we went as VIP back in February, they gave us free passes to come back whenever we wanted, so we’re gonna use em. :couple: Plus, they just opened up the Fear Factor joint so that should be pretty cool…probably a long line to get in though….

As you can see, I took the braids out…they had to go something fierce. lol I was tired of them, and so was my head. It’s back to normal, finally. :blush:

Anyhow, I STILL havent gotten my STUFF …UPS is officially a BUST. Trying to deliver my packages at 7pm to my job. *blank stare* come ON now……I work on Wilshire….cut off time is 5pm, unless you work in Korea town, then it’s 4pm. But I dont, so they need to get it together….:thumbsup:

On my way to work this morning, a black guy was trying to race me for some reason, and then eventually I slowed down….he pulled up along side of me and motioned for me to roll my window down and told me that there were cops always hiding out on the street and to take it easy. I didnt know whether to be like, “then nikka, why ya chasin me down the street??” or say “aww, that’s awfully kind of you…thank you”. So i had to settle for the in between sarcastic w/ smile remark, ” I said “oh gee, thanks”. lol…:razz:

I also noticed something about my old Bank of America account. I had closed everything and redirected it things to Washington Mutual, but Bally’s neglected to update my debit card on time and overdrew my “closed” account. Bank of America had me in the negative SOMETHING TERRIBLE…like in the 100s. So I called and complained and then called and complained to Ballys and tried to just forget about it until i got back from our vaca. I notice this morning that they reversed everything and now things are okay for me to officially walk in and close it. THANK GOD. lol

We’re supposed to be going to dinner tonight after i get back from Ikea..*you know me*…only, I dont know where we’re going…..oughta be interesting…:)

Oh God…..

I just hate the sound of that….lol…

First day back at work means, i’m dealing with a lot of random crap and a lot of random “wanting to piss me off” type people….:thumbsdown:

This weekend went pretty smoothly….i slept and ate and ran. I met God at the gym….but that’s another story for another day…..We drove out to my mom’s on Saturday so that we could give her and my grandmother their gifts from Costa Rica…mom loved the coffee. We ended up eating at this seafood restaurant in the harbor that my mom’s been trying to get us to go to since before Mother’s Day…lol. When we got back to her house after lunch, she helped me go through some of dad’s old photos that were in the garage. I found some of little Neil *my older brother by 9 years*, but not the ones that I wanted….I was looking for the ones that we took together during my one trip to Barbados when i was 9. In previous posts, you remember me telling you that I dont even remember what he looked like…..and i STILL dont know what he looks like….I can only imagine based on baby pictures. But that’s okay…becuase we’re going to look for them again, when incog and I go to paint her bedroom wall……

Alas, the morning started off kind of bad….I woke up in a huff because the alarm went off sooner than I thought it should. And the only thing that stopped me from hitting it harder than i should have, was the fact that i was holding onto my foot because i hit it on the edge of the bed while trying to keep the noise from waking up incog.

I dressed in a hurry, ran into my home office to skim through nightly emails and orders, and then ran back to the bedroom to lay down for my last 5 scheduled minutes before i had to get in my car and hit the 101 freeway.

I got to work early as i normally do…but when i started walking towards the elevator…I realized that the keys to the office were lying on our living room table. Incog had taken them off when we went on our trip because he didnt want them to get lost and it’s easier to carry 3 keys instead of 15. I just FORGOT to put them back on once we got back. *sigh*

So i had to drive all the way back home in order to get the office keys. Once i got there, incog was still asleep, and i was still half asleep myself, so i laid back down for a little while before heading back out. BEST NAP I’VE EVER HAD…lol

Sooooo…now i’m back here at work….with an hour and a half left ………I’m hoping that UPS will deliver my orders today…..according to tracking, they’re scheduled for delivery.

On Friday, I ordered a sweatsuit from the USC bookstore since i’ll be starting my morning jogs this week….and from Forever 21, i bought some pants, shirts, and scooby doos.

OH and that “DIOR” bag i bought? It didnt come with an authenticity card………so it got sent back and i got refunded. :wtf: SOOOOO, now i have to go in search of a new bag….an AUTHENTIC bag….I might have to drop my fascination with Dior and revert back to Juicy…..still loving their line….still spending ALL my money on them…lol…Anyhow, i found several Juicy bags that were screaming my name…..you know….they just WANTED to be bought…..and although i havent bought one yet….I plan on doing so within the next week or so….we’ll see how the finances look after the bills are paid….probably not too great, but great enough for a new bag…..lol
